At the 21st Annual APACC Gala, Oakland County Executive David Coulter delivered remarks.

Regarding the recent rise in anti-Asian sentiment, Coulter expressed deep heartbreak and anger. He stated that there is no place for hate in the county, state, or communities against anyone. He encouraged individuals to report such incidents, assuring that law enforcement and he personally take them very seriously. The county has a zero-tolerance policy for hate, aiming to ensure everyone feels comfortable and welcome.
During AAPI Heritage Month, Coulter thanked the AAPI community for their contributions to the growth of Oakland County. He praised their support of neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and the enriching cultural diversity they bring with their cuisine, contributing significantly to the county's cultural richness.
